Manchester United Football Club head to Austria for a LASK away game that has often been forgotten about over the last few months. Ahead of that fixture, the Red Devils have been put through their paces in training.
After giving his players some time off, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been working his players hard – gearing up for a Europa League campaign that United have a great chance of going all the way in.
Sure, everyone wants to be playing Champions League football. However, this is the situation United find themselves in. Lifting a trophy here would be a massive confidence-booster, though that’s far easier said than done.
Ahead of the clash, United’s official Twitter account has provided us with loads of snaps from training, with the likes of Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford all working hard.
Check out the snaps of the Manchester United squad in training ahead of LASK away:
Although we’re highly unlikely to see the regular first-teamers in action against LASK, they’ll no doubt be called upon in the later rounds.
Can United win it?
On paper, the Europa League draw has been relatively kind to United. That said, it’ll require everyone to be at their best when it matters most. Nobody at this stage of the tournament should be taken lightly.
Bruno Fernandes and company will have their work cut out, make no mistake about that. However, you have to fancy United to live up to their favourites-tag.
It’s all about fitness. If the squad are feeling fit and refreshed after a hard end to the 2019/20 Premier League season, we’re in a good position. If we play how we did against West Ham and Southampton (tired), we’ll struggle to make it past the quarter-finals.
Either way, it has been an excellent season as we begin to see what Solskjaer is building at Old Trafford.
