Man United still a possible destination for Adrien Rabiot this summer

With Manchester United losing Ander Herrera this summer, while Marouane Fellaini left in January and is yet to be replaced, the Red Devils need to dip their toes into the midfield market.

A name that keeps cropping up at the moment is Adrien Rabiot, who looks set to leave Paris Saint-Germain for nothing as his contract winds down.

We last touched base on this story back on June 2nd, covering a report from Le10Sport which claimed that United were ready to offer huge wages to the 24-year-old free agent.

However, since then there have been murmurs suggesting that Rabiot may end up staying in Paris beyond his current contract. Well, RMC Sport have rubbished those rumours, stating that Old Trafford still ‘remains a possibility’ for the midfielder.

After his well-known struggles with PSG I’d doubt he’d now go on ahead and sign a new deal to remain there, so I still feel as though Rabiot could be on the move this summer.

United should certainly get themselves in the hunt to sign him as he’d be a significant upgrade on the recently departed Herrera – although because he’d cost nothing in terms of transfer fee, the Reds should expect to pay him rather handsomely in terms of weekly wage…
