Man United still conisdering Moussa Dembele move

Man United are still looking at potentially moving for Lyon striker, Moussa Dembele.

There’s no doubt about it, Manchester United need help up front. Cristiano Ronaldo is apparently sulking following the aftermath of his failed move, while he never felt like the ideal fit for Erik ten Hag’s pressing system.

Anthony Martial may be back from injury, but for how long? Ten Hag needs another reliable goal-scoring option whom he can trust.

A player United have been linked with before is now back in the headlines; Moussa Dembele.

It’s the Manchester Evening News with the story, who suggest that United are ‘still considering’ a move for the 26-year-old striker, who currently plies his trade for Lyon.

Apparently, United remain ‘in contact’ with the players representatives, with Ten Hag ‘desperate’ to add some firepower to his attack before the close of the summer transfer window.

United have been long term admirers of Dembele, with the MEN revealing that he was a player the club were looking at back in January. Now, it seems like the Frenchman is a player that Ten Hag would also be keen on working with.

With just one year left on his contract, Dembele may well be a relatively cheap option for United, while it would be a step up for the player.

So far, Dembele has turned down interest from both Everton and Villareal, though the player will only move away from Lyon for the ‘right club’ on the right terms.

This is a guy who will guarantee goals. Dembele also flourishes at the highest level, looking super impressive in the Champions League against Manchester City a couple of years ago.

I really like the idea behind this prospective move.

Do you think Moussa Dembele would be a good signing for Man United? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
