Man United suffer another injury, star battling to be fit for Chelsea away: report

Alexis Sanchez just cannot catch a break at Manchester United, can he?

The Chilean has struggled for form ever since arriving at Old Trafford last January, as he has been in and out of the team far too often.

Just after returning to the fold when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge, this was probably his perfect chance to assert himself and show everyone just how good he can be.

However, according to the Daily Mail, the 30-year-old is now battling to be fit for United’s trip to Chelsea in the FA Cup after suffering a freak injury during the Red Devils’ game against Paris Saint-Germain.

Apparently, United’s #7 was preparing to come on following Jesse Lingard’s injury, and while he was watching what was taking place on the field, he ran into the linesman – thus resulting in an injury to his upper leg…

This is a highly unfortunate incident and hopefully one that doesn’t keep him out of action for too long. Timing-wise, it couldn’t have come at a worse one for United as both the aforementioned Lingard and Anthony Martial were both injured in the same game.

It leaves United mightily short in a key area of the field with some huge games coming up, so we may well see Marcus Rashford playing out wide with Romelu Lukaku back through the middle…
