For the Baby Faced Assassin, there’s too much work to do in one window. First and foremost, it’s about clearing out the deadwood. Amongst the players who the club need to part with is Alexis Sanchez.
Now, in an exclusive from The Sun, it is being claimed that the superstar Chilean is ‘desperate’ to leave Old Trafford, and England, during this transfer window.
Sanchez is so determined to force a move away from United that he’s going to cut short his holiday and return to pre-season early – in the hope that he can get fit and convince someone to buy him.
As you’d imagine, his £500k-a-week wage is proving to be the major stumbling block. Nobody wants to spend that on a player whose struggles have been evident. In my opinion, United would probably be happy to subsidise those wages just to get him away from the dressing room.
It’s a tough situation because he’s a talented player. After struggling at the start of his time in Manchester, the pressure begun to mount and in the end it became too big to overcome. No doubt that when he leaves, Sanchez will get back to his best and show the world just how brilliant he can be.
In terms of a replacement, whoever that may be, I jus hope he stays away from the cursed #7 jersey…
