Manchester United Football Club could be about to lose one of their key players, with Juventus apparently in advanced talks with Anthony Martial.
That’s according to Get France Football News, per Calciomercato, who say that personal terms between the Frenchman and the Serie A side are already being discussed; although no fee (or even contact) has been agreed with United at this point.
Martial, and his agent, made it public knowledge that the superstar winger wants to leave Old Trafford this summer, and honestly, you can’t really blame him for wanting out. Since Alexis Sanchez made the move to Manchester, the 22-year-old has found minutes hard to come by. The Red Devils simply don’t have room for Martial in their starting line-up.
I suppose it will be disappointing to see him leave, but if he heads to Juventus, it’s not really the end of the world as he cannot hurt us (domestically at least). If we were selling Martial to another Premier League side, then I’d be disappointed.
That said, we’re probably getting ahead of ourselves as Juve are yet to agree anything with United themselves. Who knows, with two years left on Martial’s deal, they make keep ahold of him for at least another twelve months.
