Over the last half-decade, David de Gea has been Manchester United’s Mr Reliable.
This last month or so, things have changed. The Spaniard has made clanger after clanger that has pretty much guaranteed United won’t finish in the top-four. Perhaps his mind is elsewhere? Honestly, you cannot really blame him for that.
Today, according to an exclusive from the Daily Star, it is now being claimed that the 28-year-old is considering his United future, as he’s waiting to see where the club finishes in the table before making a decision…
However, Paris Saint-Germain is a tempting proposition for United’s number one, as they will be in the Champions League next season, plus, the Ligue 1 champions are willing to offer De Gea a huge £450,000-a-week contract…
Despite months of negotiations United haven’t been able to convince De Gea to stay and with one year left on his deal, this summer could well be the last chance for the Red Devils to get an actual transfer fee for the Spaniard. United’s hand may well be forced…
Honestly, it’d be a massive shame to see De Gea leave but to me it looks inevitable that he’s heading to Paris. He has been a marvellous servant for this club and you can never doubt his effort and commitment, unfortunately, at this time, United just cannot match his ambition. That’s what’s cost us one of the best goalkeepers on the planet.
