Man United superstar fires back at Mourinho, blames tactics

Look, Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba were never going to be best buddies. That much was obvious as soon as they had their fall-out earlier on in the season.

Now, though, it seems as though their relationship is going from bad to worse. After apparently labelling Pogba a ‘virus in the dressing room’ following United’s 2-2 draw with Southampton, the Frenchman has fired back.

According to The Times, the midfielder has complained to Mourinho, telling the manager that his tactics are restricting United, and he cannot find a pass due to the self-proclaimed Special One’s negative style.

At this point, I’m just not sure what’s going to happen. It always felt like one would outlast the other, but I’ve always maintained the belief that both should be binned off as soon as possible.

Let’s be honest here, Pogba has hardly set the world alight since joining United for a then-World Record fee, while Mourinho football is dull to watch, particularly when you’re not winning.

If the right offer comes in for the midfielder, I’d cash in and re-invest that money into the squad. As for management, this club needs to move in a different direction as soon as possible. Although I’m not sure the required quality is available at this point in time.
