Manchester United’s injury situation isn’t looking too bad at the moment, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now only missing two first-teamers; Marcos Rojo and Chris Smalling.
That’s because Alexis Sanchez has now returned to first-team training, the Daily Mirror reports. They say that the Chilean is back in the mix, as he also uploaded a video to his Instagram story showing himself working hard at the Aon Training Complex (see below).
Sanchez has had an extremely hit and miss time at Old Trafford so far, largely due to injuries. Hopefully, this is the last of those and he can now get back to showing the world what a classy player he is.
For the player himself, it must be extremely frustrating. He had a briliant pre-season, then got injured. Then Jose Mourinho was sacked and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was employed. He played a couple of great games, then was sidelined again.
All this stop-starting isn’t good for him, and as soon as he finds consistency, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him get back to his brilliant best – particularly under an attacking manager.
Perhaps getting a start in this weekend’s game at home to Brighton may be slightly too soon for Sanchez, but with games coming thick and fast, I hope we’ll see him in the starting line-up in the not too distant future.
