Manchester United has been home to the best goalkeeper on the planet over the last few years, with Red Devils fans lucky to call David de Gea own.
Although the Spaniard is out-of-contract this coming summer, the love for the #1 will never expire. Our fans adore him, they always will. However, for his country, things are completely different.
It’s common knowledge that in Spain, it’s much harder to please the supporters, with De Gea coming in for some heavy criticism following making a few mistakes over the last two or three international periods.
Now, according to ESPN, per Team Talk, sources have told them that De Gea thinks he is being treated unfairly, while all the stick coming his way is unwarranted.
Honestly, let them keep abusing him. As horrible as that sounds, it plays into United’s hands, as De Gea would potentially have second thoughts before returning back home.
At this point, with his contract winding down, United need all the help they can get in regards to keeping ahold of the best in the business. If we can eliminate the possibility of him returning to Spain, then that only strengthens our hand.
