Man United could head to Real Betis without the services of winger, Antony.

Manchester United placed themselves in a commanding position in their Europa League last sixteen tie against Real Betis, thanks to a 4-1 performance at Old Trafford last week.

Spanish teams have been notoriously tough opponents for United in years gone by, so to see the lads play so well was certainly encouraging.

The job is not complete. United have to finish the tie off away from home, though it will not be straightforward. The lads have to ensure they’re laser-focused and ready to play.

However, Ten Hag may be without one of his key players in the form of Antony.

The Brazilian has divided opinion at times this season. Though he definitely makes the team play better when he’s in.

United are sweating on the fitness of the 23-year-old for tomorrow’s game, with the official club site reporting that he was absent from today’s training session. It remains to be seen whether he’ll be with the party that’s travelling to Spain later today.

Timing-wise, it couldn’t have been any worse. Alejandro Garnacho will not be available. United are suddenly looking a little thin on the ground in the wide area.

It looks like Jadon Sancho will be the favourite to start this one, though do not rule out Facundo Pellistri, as Ten Hag is a manager who loves to reward those guys who have performed well off the bench.

Pellistri will be hungry for this opportunity, despite the fact that he may not be at the club next season due to a likely loan move away in order to showcase his talents.

Get well soon, Antony!
