Man United sweating on the verdict for Rashford’s injury, striker to miss Rochdale game: report

Manchester United just cannot catch a break at the moment, with the Red Devils now handed yet another injury blow.

According to The Sun, United are sweating on the verdict of Marcus Rashford’s injury, with the 21-year-old set to miss Rochdale with the groin problem he picked up against West Ham on Sunday.

Rashford just didn’t look right at all throughout the game, and in the second-half he eventually had to be substituted due to the issue.

At the time, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was unsure of the severity, but it’s probably best he doesn’t play against Rochdale in order not to aggravate the problem.

Where United are fortunate is that they play on Monday this weekend, giving Rashford an extra two days rest which could come in helpful.

In other injury news, Luke Shaw is still missing, as is Eric Bailly. Anthony Martial isn’t fit for this one, either, leaving Solskjaer drastically short up top. Let’s hope Mason Greenwood has recovered from his bout of tonsilitis.

There was some better news, though, as Paul Pogba is now back available for selection. It goes without saying that we’re going to need him when Arsenal visit Old Trafford in just under one week’s time…
