Manchester United’s toughest test with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the helm is just hours away. The Red Devils take on Tottenham Hotspur in a true test of his managerial mettle.
Before the game, the Manchester Evening News have been doing their detective work once again, and their eagle-eyed reporters have spotted a 19-man travelling party for the Wembley Stadium showpiece.
The first point of note is that Paul Pogba is fit to go, which is huge news. He’s by far our most creative midfielder and we’ll need him to be at his brilliant best to stand any chance at victory.
Then, there is a spot in the party for the young James Garner. Although it’s unlikely he’ll make the bench, it shows how highly regarded he is by the manager.
What’s concerning to me is the lack of defensive options. The only two recognisable centre-backs are Victor Lindelof and Phil Jones. If one of those guys picks up an injury, we could be in serious trouble.
There is also no place for Alexis Sanchez who hobbled off the field when United took on Reading last weekend. Hopefully, his problem isn’t anything too serious, as he has looked good in his last two games.
If the lads get off to a bright start in this one, I wouldn’t be surprised to see us bring home at least a point. Honestly, if you offered me a draw I’d snap your hand off for it right now!
