Man United talks to sign Ajax centre-back, Lisandro Martinez, are heading in the right direction.
In terms of signings this summer, take your pick of which outfield area that Manchester United need to invest in.

United turned their attention to Timber’s Ajax teammate, Lisandro Martinez. The Old Trafford club face stiff competition from Arsenal in that pursuit.
However, Sky Sports News’ Dharmesh Sheth gave us all a positive update yesterday evening.
Sheesh took to Twitter to confirm that United’s talks to sign the defender have been ‘very positive’. On top of that, the Reds are ‘hopeful’ a deal will be done.
There’s a growing feeling that 24-year-old Martinez is keen to work with Erik ten Hag again – which speaks volumes about just how impressive our manager was over in the Eredivisie.
Much like Timber, Martinez isn’t a player I know an awful lot about. Though again, it points to Ten Hag trying to surround himself with players he’s 100% familiar with.
The Argentina international enjoyed his time over at Ajax with Ten Hag and he’s looking to continue that relationship here in Manchester.
Obviously, there’s a massive jump up in terms of quality in the Premier League, though Ten Hag wouldn’t be pushing hard to get this deal done if he wasn’t confident in Martinez’s ability.
With time running out before the pre-season tour, I’d like to think that United will step on the gas and look to complete this deal before the squad jets off to Bangkok.
