Manchester United have been given the clearest indication yet that Jadon Sancho will leave Borussia Dortmund this summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskajer loves Jadon Sancho. Hence why the Manchester United manager has been chasing him at every turn. This summer, something feels different. You get the impression Borussia Dortmund are now ready to cash in on the budding superstar.
According to the usually excellent Simon Stone, who works for the BBC, that’s exactly the case. United’s key transfer target ‘will leave’ this summer, if the conditions in regards to his transfer fee, and timeframe in which the deal must be done, are met.
One player who will not be leaving this summer, is Jude Bellingham. Infamously, United missed out on his signature when he left Birmingham City just eighteen months ago. Now, he’s amongst the hottest prospects in world football.
As for Sancho, this is a young man who’ll endlessly improve United if he does indeed make the move to Old Trafford.
We haven’t had that world-class right-winger since the young Cristiano Ronaldo days – and having someone who can lock down that position week-in-week-out gives the manager one less problem to worry about.
Sure, this will be an expensive signing, but you can never have too many attacking options at your disposal. Sancho is amongst the best in the world in his position, adding him to this squad will only make everyone else a better player due to the heavy competition for places.
Hopefully, this transfer doesn’t drag on all summer. The sooner it’s done, Edward Woodward can focus on acquiring Solskjaer’s other targets in what is a huge transfer window for United.
