Manchester United are believed to be targeting a sensational move for Mexico World Cup star, Hirving Lozano.
That’s according to TMW, translated by The Metro. The 22-year-old had drawn the attention of FC Barcelona and Arsenal, although transfer negotiations with United are set to open over the next few days.
In regards to transfer fee, the report suggests around £35.4million is what the Red Devils want to bid, and in this day and age, that would be an absolute bargain if PSV Eindhoven were to let him go during this window.
I do have my doubts, though. He only arrived at the Eredivisie club just last summer, and they’ll obviously be doing all they can to keep ahold of the player who played such a part in their title-winning season.
After a stunning World Cup, scoring that brilliant goal to beat Germany, the interest in Lozano has heightened. No doubt PSV will be fighting off offers aplenty, but eventually, if the right financial package does come in, they may have no choice but to sell.
My first thought is Memphis Depay. He moved to Old Trafford from PSV, that didn’t turn out too well. Personally, I’d like to see him bought, but loaned back to the Dutch side for another season; that will give him an extra twelve months to find his feet.
