Leny Yoro could be announced as a Man United player very soon, with the contract set to run until 2029.
Manchester United Football Club had no choice but to sign a centre-half this summer, as they look to replace Raphael Varane’s minutes with genuine quality.
Who better than his countryman, Leny Yoro? I’ll be honest, a deal to sign the superstar teen felt like a long shot. Somehow, the Red Devils have edged in front of Real Madrid in the race to sign the 18-year-old.
A deal is close. Now, Florian Plettenberg has provided the latest on that front. According to his information, the deal will be announced ‘very soon’. Possibly even as early as today.
The contract is all done and sealed, with the deal running until 2029. United hold the option to extend those terms by a further twelve months if they so choose. The Red Devils have their man.

I can’t lie, this is exciting. I just assumed that the days of United dining at the top table for the best players in the transfer market were a thing of the past – at least for the time being.
To INEOS’ and Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s credit, they’ve proven us all wrong by getting this deal done – and they’ve gone about it quickly and efficiently.
Yoro is the most talented defender in world football right now. Throw him into a team with Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho and suddenly, United is the home of the best up-and-coming players within the beautiful game.
Hopefully, a deal is announced this evening.
