How to solve a problem like Alexis Sanchez? Well, according to The Sun, Manchester United have devised their plan of action…
They state that United are set to banish the Chilean star to the reserves – unless he agrees to a move abroad.
Apparently, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ‘desperate’ to get rid of the £505,000-a-week ‘flop’ before the European transfer window closes on September 2nd.
Furthermore, AS Roma have shown an interest in taking the 30-year-old on loan but refuse (understandably) to pay his eye-watering salary, with United likely having to ‘share the burden’ to get him out…
Quite remarkably, if he stays at United, Sanchez will cost the club £8.6million in wages until January, which would be the next opportunity for a potential suitor to come in and make their move.
Solskjaer hasn’t been keen on Sanchez from day one according to The Sun. Heck, who has been pleased with the ‘work’ he has done? It has been an absolute disaster for the Old Trafford outfit and I don’t think it’s a stretch to suggest this whole scenario has set the club back a year or two.
Not only has he completely destroyed the wage structure, with Ander Herrera leaving, David de Gea stalling as he wants similar wages and Marcus Rashford signing a new mega-money deal. It’s also having a negative effect on the dressing room as a whole. The sooner Sanchez is gone, the better for this club moving forward.
