Manchester United’s defensive troubles started when the Red Devils endured an extremely poor summer in the transfer market.
However, it looks as though Edward Woodward is trying to do what he can to right those wrongs. Now, according to the reliable Mack The Knife, who has gotten United transfer rumours right in the past, the club are going ‘all in’ for Inter Milan centre-back, Milan Skriniar, in January.
The insider posted the news on his Twitter page earlier today, and as you’d imagine, the social media platform began to buzz with excitement. Skriniar, who is just 23, is rapidly emerging as a top-level centre-back, and luring him to Old Trafford would be a fantastic piece of business.

This news also coincides with an article from Calciomercato, who adds that Skriniar is struggling to agree to terms over a new deal with Inter, which would make Mack The Knife’s story sound accurate.
How can you not get excited about this potential move? Skriniar seems tailor-made for the Premier League. He has all the attributes to remain amongst the best centre-halves in the business over the next decade. There will, no doubt, be huge competition for his signature, however, so the Red Devils should try to get this one signed, sealed and delivered as quickly as possible.
