Manchester United Football Club made one big-name signing from Leicester City over the summer – and another could yet follow suit in January.
The story comes from the Daily Mirror, who late on Saturday night, wrote that James Maddison is wanted by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the Baby Faced Assassin looks to continue his overhaul of the squad.
Apparently, United will make a January move for the 22-year-old Premier League star, though it’s likely the Old Trafford outfit will be made to wait until the end of the season before meaningful discussions will take place.
Maddison oozes class and we’re talking about a young man who’d be perfect for this Solskjaer regime. Young and English, he fits the bill, and as a potential Paul Pogba replacement, I can certainly think of worse players.
He has insane vision, is quick, he’s great from the dead-ball situation and word on the grapevine? He’s a United fan…
This is the transfer I’d love to see United complete next summer, though as we found out with the Harry Maguire deal, signing players from Leicester is not easy as they have absolutely no reason to sell.
Hopefully, United can secure a top-four finish, which would give us an excellent chance at luring Maddison to Old Trafford this time next year.
