Over the summer, Manchester United’s decision to move away from both Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez without replacement was widely criticised.
However, it seems as though Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is trying to correct his error as soon as possible. The name that keeps popping up amongst the media is Erling Braut Haaland.
Now, in an exclusive, The Sun are claiming that United are to offer the prolific 19-year-old a staggering £200k-a-week deal to make a Reds transfer – which is ten times more than the £20,000-a-week that he currently earns.
United will then also add incentives into the deal, including money based on goals scored and whether he wins the Golden Boot.
Apparently, it is understood by The Sun that Haaland will immediately be loaned back to RB Salzburg, then he’ll join up with his new United teammates next summer.
Having scored 28 goals in 22 games, this young man has some serious pedigree. Haaland has proven that he can do it in the Champions League, too, scoring six in eight European matches – and in an extremely tricky group, too…
In terms of transfer fee, Haaland definitely isn’t going to come cheaply. But, that’s the price you pay for quality in this day and age. All being well, Haaland could give you a decade-plus of service, so he could well be worth it…
