Manchester United Football Club are trending upwards under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, though this squad still feel like it’s a few players away from competing at the highest level year-in-year-out.
With COVID-19 putting a halt to everything, while playing a major impact on the financial side of the game, this summer may see clubs holding back the reins somewhat and not going as big in terms of signings.
However, according to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United aren’t planning on deviating from their strategy.
United are to press ahead with their transfer plans and have identified three key signings that they want to make this summer.
The Old Trafford club drew up their list of targets in January, and began working on a deal to sign Jack Grealish in February before the global pandemic halted talks.
Where Jadon Sancho is concerned, United are ‘confident’ of outbidding any potential rival for his signature, while youngster Jude Bellingham, who visited the AON Training Complex earlier in the year, is the other player United want to sign.
Adding Sancho and Grealish would send out a huge signal of intent. Both are supremely gifted young footballers in two positions of need for United. As for Bellingham, he looks a real prospect who’d initially play a bit-part role within this squad.
Again, it’s easier said than done with everything that’s going on right now but this would be a sublime transfer window for the Red Devils if these deals were to come to fruition.
