AFC Fiorentina have told Manchester United, and other potential suitors, that Federico Chiesa would cost them £62million.
That’s what Gazzetta dello Sport are saying, per The Metro. The 20-year-old’s stock is rising, and quickly. He greatly impressed in the Serie A last term, and clearly, he’s caught the eye of Premier League giants like the Red Devils. Liverpool are also interested.
News regarding United’s interest in Chiesa came to light last week, after scoring six goals and tacking on nine assists last season you can certainly see why.
Originally, the Serie A side were demanding £44million to let their superstar talent leave, but after learning that several teams are interested, they’ve considerably upped their asking price.
Chiesa’s biggest selling point is his versatility. The young Italian can be deployed all across the front line, and no doubt he’d threaten opposing defences in any attacking position.
The fact that he already has a handful of Italy caps to his name tells you everything you need to know about his ability as a footballer. The scary thing is that, if he did move to Old Trafford, Chiesa would only get better due to playing with better footballers day-in-day-out. Personally, though, I’m not sure about stumping up over £60million to get him…
