Man United have made a take-it-or-leave-it offer for Borussia Dortmund winger, Jadon Sancho.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock over the last couple of summer transfer windows, you’ll know all about Manchester United’s interest in Jadon Sancho.
The English winger came pretty close to making a move to Old Trafford last summer. However, the Red Devils wouldn’t meet BVB’s £100m+ asking price in the middle of a global pandemic.
United are, once again, pushing hard to sign Sancho this transfer window, though once more, Dortmund are playing hardball. According to talkSPORT, United have been given a transfer ‘ultimatum’ to sign the star attacker.
The German outfit have set United a take-it-or-leave-it offer on the table, with Dortmund wanting United to pay £77m for Sancho, with add-ons on top of that.
Apparently, personal terms with Sancho have already been agreed by United. However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side is yet to meet Dortmund’s demands in terms of a transfer fee.
Dortmund have also set a deadline which the transfer should be completed by; July 23rd. That’s when the German club begins their pre-season training and understandably, they’d like to have their squad in place ahead of the new season.
I’ve waxed lyrical enough times about Sancho on this site over the last couple of years. You don’t need me to tell you just how brilliant of a footballer he is.
It’s now down to United to pay up or move on to other targets. For what it’s worth, I do believe this deal will happen this summer. I just think we’ll be waiting a few weeks yet as these big-money deals tend to be a long, drawn-out process.
