Bruno Fernandes is not high on the list of priorities for Bayern Munich, contrary to recent reports.
Bruno Fernandes is undoubtedly Manchester United’s best player. The club captain has been at the heartbeat of the side ever since breaking into the first-team when acquired from Sporting CP.
The Portugal international was outstanding during the FA Cup final, while he ended the season in a rich vein of form. It would be an outright disaster to lose him in the summer transfer window, which has been floated by some parts of the media this week.
To me, it feels like Bruno would prefer to stay in Manchester, though he’d like the security of a new contract. Given all his positive efforts over the last half-decade, that’s not an unreasonable request.
Well, there has been some good news on that front, with United’s Bruno transfer worries eased. Journalist Florian Plettenberg provides the information.
Contrary to recent claims, the key star is ‘not a hot topic’ of interest for the Bavarian side, as there’s no need to sign a player in the attacking midfielder position this summer.

🔴 New rumors about Bruno #Fernandes and FC Bayern:

Currently, the 29 y/o from ManUtd is not a hot topic of interest at Bayern, and there's no need for a player in that position right now as Jamal Musiala and Thomas Müller are under contract …

Obviously, this is great news for the Red Devils. It does seem as though they’re not too willing to give Bruno a new contract at this time and this does play into their hands in that regard.
However, player power is huge in the modern day game and I’m a firm believer in two things; keeping your star performers happy, and paying your players early rather than late.
If there’s one footballer in that dressing room who deserves big money, it’s Bruno.
