Man United have been given a triple boost, with three first-teamers back in training ahead of the Sheriff game.

Erik ten Hag’s side heads into their next game on the back of a hard-fought point against Sheriff last time out. The Old Trafford club scratched and clawed for every inch of grass on Sunday, looking like the better team against a good Chelsea squad.

The confidence that’ll bring is only a positive. What also helps is having a deep dressing room. Ten Hag is about to get some help in that regard, with Harry Maguire, Donny van de Beek and Aaron Wan-Bissaka all back in first-team action.

Journalist Chris Wheeler confirmed the news, before photos of the trio back in training emerged on social media.

These guys have been out for a deceivingly long period of time, so to get them all back in a busy period ahead of the World Cup is only a positive.

Maguire is someone who should see the field due to the injury suffered by Raphael Varane. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say the Englishman is fighting for his World Cup place right now.

Van de Beek and Wan-Bissaka are both in a weird spot. Neither have seen much action this term. Neither looked fancied by the gaffer. Both will probably have to settle for cameos off the bench for the foreseeable future, but let’s wait and see what happens.

Either way, it’s good to see them back out there and available should Ten Hag deem them ready for some first-team minutes. Hopefully, they can make their mark.

Do you think any of these guys will have a part to play this season? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
