A Man United trio have been named in the latest Europa League Team of the Week, following some spectacular individual displays.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s ‘tricky reds’ have certainly placed themselves in a commanding position, drubbing Real Sociedad 4-0 away from home.
However, the job is not done. The Old Trafford outfit will have to see it through next week, though Solskjaer does have the luxury of making changes and resting some familiar faces.
Before then, though, it’s time for reflection. United were stunning last night, with three Red Devils named in the latest Europa League Team of the Week following their individual brilliance.
Although it was a real team effort, these three lads definitely deserved their spot in the latest Team of the Week here. I could’ve made a case for a couple of others, too. Sadly, there are only eleven spots and UEFA have to be somewhat fair to other sides…

Let’s build from the back. First, we have Eric Bailly, who made his first start in a few weeks following injury. The Ivory Coast international looked like he’d never been away, dropping a clinic and preserving a deserved clean sheet.
Next up is Daniel James, who is now showing us all what an asset he can be. Sure, nobody expects him to start week-in-week-out but last night, he was magnificent. Pace, directness and work ethic. The Wales international brought it all to the table and capped off a top performance with a deserved goal.
Third and finally, is Bruno Fernandes. This one was obvious. The Portugal international would take his tally on the season to 21 with a brilliant brace. Right now, is it fair to say he’s the best midfielder in the world? Possibly.
