Man United have been given a triple injury boost, with three players back out on the training turf ahead of the game this weekend.
Manchester United Football Club are desperate for a victory. Pressure continues to mount on Erik ten Hag, with the Dutchman looking to turn things around quickly, or risk losing his job…
Brentford visit Old Trafford this weekend, in a fixture that is far from a given for the Red Devils. Beating Thomas Frank’s side, who are in good form, will be a tough ask given low confidence inside that Reds dressing room.
However, the club have been given a morale boost ahead of that match, with a trio of key men back in first-team training. The official club website confirmed the triple injury boost on Thursday.
All of Amad, Alejandro Garnacho and Noussair Mazraoui are back in training after missing the international break for their respective nations.
Amad and Garnacho picked up minor muscular issues that kept them out over the last fortnight, though it’s great to hear that Ten Hag will have his two most in-form wingers available here. We’re certainly going to need their quality.
Mazraoui’s situation is intriguing. There were reports suggesting he’d be out for a few weeks after undergoing minor heart surgery after he was suffering from palpitations. Either he has recovered quicker than expected, or he hasn’t had surgery at all… No doubt we’ll hear more from Ten Hag on that this afternoon.
It’s unclear whether the man from Morocco is fit and available at this time, though if he is, it does offer United a glimmer of hope as without him, it probably means either Victor Lindelof or Jonny Evans would be playing as an emergency left-back…
