Just a few days ago, we covered a story from Sport, who claimed that Manchester United were interested in signing Ansu Fati from FC Barcelona.
Well, the same newspaper are back at it again this morning in their Thursday print edition, with the excellent translation coming from Sport Witness.
Apparently, United are ‘very serious’ about signing the mega-talented 17-year-old, despite their first offer of £89million being rejected.
Per the report, the Old Trafford outfit are ready to reach ‘dizzying figures’ to get the deal done, despite the fact that Barca have made it clear the teenager is ‘non-transferable’.

Well, that’s not strictly true as right now, Fati has a €170m (£152m) release clause in his contract, though he’s currently in contract talks with Barcelona about penning new terms.
That’s where United come in, as they’re looking to hijack a move, possibly offering a contract worth three-times as much as he could earn at the Camp Nou. Money definitely talks, huh?
Sport Witness makes it clear that these stories could be being leaked by Fati’s camp in order to get their client a better deal, so take these stories with a pinch of salt for now, though he would be an incredible signing if a deal can be reached…
