Man United want £60m-rated Arkadiusz Milik with Solskjaer desperate for firepower: report

In amongst all the Ashley Young transfer madness, it seemed we missed a story from Wednesday night in terms of a potential Manchester United incoming.

After losing Romelu Lukaku without replacement, us fans believe the Red Devils seriously need to bolster their front line. Well, in the form of an exclusive from The Sun, it seems as though Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is trying to do exactly that by obtaining Arkadiusz Milik.

Apparently, United want the 25-year-old striker to rescue their ‘floundering frontline’ while in the title, The Sun claim that United are preparing a £60million bid for the prolific Pole.

Milik is currently in discussions with his current club Napoli about potentially extending his deal with the Serie A outfit, as his current terms expire next year.

However, should talks breakdown, Solskjaer is ‘ready to pounce’.

At this point, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial need help. The former has been in scintillating form over the last few months though he cannot do it all on his own.

Milik has scored 10 in 12 league games this term and adding a player of his calibre would not only help us in the goals department, it’d also offer Solskjaer a different dimension.

Sure, £60million isn’t cheap, but Milik is still young with his best years ahead of him. It’s definitely a deal worth taking, though I’d highly doubt it’s one the Old Trafford outfit would be able to pull off in January…
