Man United are looking to tie Facundo Pellistri down to a new contract at the club.
Over the last few weeks, Facundo Pellistri has made his breakthrough into the Manchester United first-team. Every time he has taken to the field, the young man from Uruguay has looked dangerous.
The talent has always been there for Pellistri, and credit to him for remaining patient and waiting for that opportunity. There can now be no doubt that he’s firmly in Erik ten Hag’s mind.

Apparently, United want to ‘improve’ the 21-year-old’s contract, with his current deal set to expire in 2025.
However, a meeting is set for ‘next week’ with the agent of Pellistri, with United looking to tie their emerging starlet down to a longer-term contract, with more money on the table.
It says a lot that United are looking to get this deal done pretty early, with Pellistri still having a couple of years left to run. It seems like the club understand that it’s better for them to pa him early rather than later – though United will always reward those who are performing with improved contracts.
Pellistri is someone who has been brought in for a minimal fee, before honing his talent here in Manchester. Ten Hag has seen that spark in the young man from Penarol, hence, he’s been thrust into the first-team mix since the turn of the year.
Every single time he has taken to the field, Pellistri has impressed. He’s quick, direct, two-footed and super confident. All are attributes that you need at the highest level.
Hopefully, new terms can be agreed to sooner rather than later, allowing Pellistri to solely focus on football.
