Man United are seemingly doing all they can to seal a quick deal to sign Jadon Sancho.
For the last two summer transfer windows, Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move to sign Borussia Dortmund superstar, Jadon Sancho.
The sad truth is that COVID-19 probably stopped the Red Devils from making that move happen last summer transfer window. Though that hasn’t stopped Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s pursuit of the Englishman.
Well, United better act quickly as England’s first game takes place on June 13th. Simply put, the Reds have about a month to get a move for the Englishman signed, sealed and delivered. With how slow the Reds tend to operate, I have serious doubts about this getting done by that point.
Anyway, Sky Sports Germany have been kind enough to let us know how much Sancho would cost; £85m (€100m). That’s about a £23m reduction on the £108m that it was widely regarded Sancho would cost last summer.
For United, it’s about striking while the iron is hot. Players with Sancho’s talent don’t become available all that often, while we’re talking about someone who could give the 20-time Premier League champions a decade of service all being well.
It goes without saying, Sancho could make that right-wing spot his own as soon as he walks through the Old Trafford doors. We’ve been crying out for a player like him ever since Cristiano Ronaldo left and now is as good a-time-as-any to fix that problem.
I have my doubts about this deal being concluded within the next four weeks but I’m more than happy to be proven wrong on this one.
