Man United now want some sort of transfer fee to allow Aaron Wan-Bissaka to leave this month.

Manchester United’s Erik ten Hag is doing a brilliant job at coaching this current group of players. They’re suddenly looking far more confident than they did under the previous regime.

One man who found himself out of the mix early was Aaron Wan-Bissaka. An injury to Diogo Dalot offered the Englishman a way into the side. He absolutely hasn’t looked back.

An outstanding derby day performance certainly has Wan-Bissaka back in the good books, contrary to claims over the summer that suggested ‘The Spider’ was deemed surplus to requirements by the gaffer.

A loan move always felt like a real possibility, though the situation has changed, The Sun report.

Following his recent form, United will now ‘demand’ a fee to let the 25-year-old leave this month – which reflects his importance to the squad at this point in time.

Wan-Bissaka has shown he can play in this system – and at a high level, too.

Perhaps the Dalot injury has led to Ten Hag having to look at the situation differently. If United allowed Wan-Bissaka to leave, who else would play in that right-back position?

Seriously, all credit has to go to the player for this form. It would have been easy for Wan-Bissaka to kick up a fuss due to the lack of minutes. Instead, he’s just continued to go about his business. You have to admire that.

On the flip side, he’s not done his own chances at playing regularly elsewhere any good, because now he’s viewed as a dependable back-up option by United.

I still believe that in the long run, Wan-Bissaka will be sold or moved on. For now, though, it has been fun watching him play.
