Man United will face competition if they want to sign Napoli star, Kim Min-Jae.

A new striker, some extra help in midfield and a central defender look like the top priorities as things stand. In terms of centre-backs, several names have already been linked – including Napoli’s Kim Min-Jae.
The man from South Korea is having a superb season since moving to Napoli just last summer. He’s looking set to pick up a Serie A winners medal, with several European giants now showing an interest in bringing in the centre-half.
Now, according to The Sun, United will ‘battle’ it out with Manchester City to sign the 26-year-old defender this summer. Liverpool and Tottenham are also credited with an interest.
United have been interested in Min-Jae for months now, but City are also keen on bringing in the Napoli man, with Pep Guardiola reportedly a big fan of the centre-back.
As you’d expect, the Naples club are keen to offer Kim a new deal, though it’s looking likely the player could have his head turned, with numerous offers potentially on the table.
We’ve said it before. Kim would be an unreal signing. He’d slot straight into the defence from day one, most likely alongside Lisandro Martinez when the Argentine is back fit. When you have Raphael Varane as an option, too, United would be super well-stocked in the centre-back position.
You’d expect that having Champions League football on offer is an absolute must to even tempt Kim into a move, while even then it may be tough to beat out some of Europe’s big boys for his signature.
