Man United will listen to loan offers for attacking midfielder, Shola Shoretire.

Manchester United Football Club have taken it back to their roots in recent years, with the club placing emphasis on youth once again.

Just look at the growth and development of Alejandro. He’s one of many emerging talents over at Old Trafford.

Another name who you’ll probably be familiar with is Shola Shoretire. The young attacking midfielder has been on the fringes of the first-team for a couple of years now, following success at youth level.

However, Shoretire isn’t currently getting the first-team minutes his talent deserves. Now, according to the Manchester Evening News, United are willing to listen to loan offers for the 18-year-old.

The player is ‘highly regarded’ by Ten Hag, who actually blocked a summer exit from United for Shoretire.

It seems as though the Dutchman has since changed his plans for Shoretire, who could now leave on loan to gain ‘valuable first-team experience’.

As of yet, no concrete proposals have been made for the teenager, though United will now consider any offers that come in for the talented attacker.

It’s stated that any successful offer would have to guarantee meaningful minutes, at a club that follows United’s footballing philosophy.

Although there is no certainty that Shoretire leaves on loan this month, it’s good to see United weighing up their options for the young man, who has potential to go right the way to the top in this game.

For Shoretire, it’s now about taking that next step. There’s only so much he can learn from the United first-team in training. He now needs to be playing regular, competitive football. A loan move in the Football League would certainly help with that.
