Man United will send Sofyan Amrabat back to Fiorentina after his loan deal ends.
Manchester United haven’t been afraid to utilise the loan system under Erik ten Hag, with both Wout Weghort and Sergio Reguilon doing decently enough to justify their short-term signings.

The man from Morocco was brought in on transfer deadline day, in a season-long loan deal worth around £9million. The midfielder has struggled to acquit himself in the side, having not started now in a couple of months.
It’s no surprise to read that United have now decided against signing the 27-year-old, according to Calciomercato. His performances have been ‘well below expectations’, with United opting to look elsewhere.
Amrabat’s ‘dream’ of establishing himself in the Premier League is said to have ‘vanished’ with Fiorentina now looking to find another potential suitor for the midfielder. Juventus are said to be keen.
This isn’t the first time this story has come to light. It doesn’t take a genius to work out that United were never going to sign Amrabat either. You just have to look at his individual performances, which have been pretty shocking from minute one.
At first, you assumed he just needed some time to settle in. The problem? He just never started to perform better…
I understand that the emergence of Kobbie Mainoo hasn’t helped Amrabat, though he’s had openings as Casemiro hasn’t been great, while Christian Eriksen and Mason Mount have had injury issues. If he’s not breaking into the team now, he never will.
Fiorentina are now likely to take their own financial hit on Amrabat, as there’s no way he’d fetch a price tag similar to what it was twelve months ago.
