Manchester United have always had a history when it comes to signing young players and harnessing their talent. Perhaps the biggest example of this recently is Cristiano Ronaldo.
Now, it looks as though the Red Devils are trying to continue with that mantra. According to RMC Sport, translated by The Metro, United have won the race to sign Noam Emeran; beating competition from PSG, Juventus and Valencia CF.
Apparently, United will pay an initial £1.8million to sign the 16-year-old, with the fee potentially rising to a total of £8.9million, presumably based on add-ons and performance-based bonuses.
Emeran only joined French outfit Amiens last term, but is already set to leave after massively impressing over the last twelve months.
In terms of playing style, the winger likens himself to the brilliant Leroy Sane who is flourishing for Manchester City right now, but he’s obviously immensely talented and learning all the time.
The fact that he’s just sixteen tells me that this is a gamble. It always is as you’re unsure to how quickly these guys will develop – if they ever do at all. But, when you’ve got the money
