Man United yet to make decision on Marcel Sabitzer future, player would love to stay

Man United are yet to make their decision on the future of Marcel Sabitzer.

Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Marcel Sabitzer had suffered a season-ending knee injury. The Austrian had played his part following a January loan move, proving himself capable of someone who can slot into the midfield whenever necessary.

Sadly, this is the third time Sabi had picked up a problem since making the move to Manchester, leaving us all wondering whether he’s injury prone, or just had some bad luck.

In my personal opinion, these treatment table woes led me to believe that Sabitzer would probably not be signed on a permanent deal. Well, that may not be true at this stage…

Fabrizio Romano shared the latest information on that front, claiming United ‘have not’ made a decision on the future of the player just yet. Discussions are set to take place over the next few weeks.

Apparently, Sabiter would ‘love to stay’ at the club, with Romano having ‘no doubt’ of that.

The man from Bayern Munich seems to be loving life here in Manchester. He feels part of a squad that’s on the rise. You can hardly blame him for wanting to stay in that environment.

For United, it’s now about weighing up whether Sabitzer is worth spending a decent wedge of money on. Unfortunately, there was no purchase clause in his loan deal, so United will have to negotiate directly with Bayern, whose hand will be strengthened due to the fact that Sabitzer did exactly what was asked of him here in Manchester.

I’m still feeling somewhat sure that Sabitzer will end up going back to Bavaria this summer. My understanding is that United will have a limited budget due to club ownership status still being up in the air. I’m not sure they’ll be willing to spend a large chunk of money on a squad player.
