Man United’s star attacker now worth over £140m following brilliant start to the season: report

According to Swiss research group, CIES Football Observatory, Romelu Lukaku’s value has soared to €158.5m (£140m). That means a rise of £49.2m since joining Manchester United just a few months ago. Which is the highest rise in value of any player in football, as per the Daily Mail.

Lukaku leads the way in research that looks at players in the top five European leagues, and this already proves what an excellent bit of business this was by both Jose Mourinho and Edward Woodward.

The star 24-year-old has scored 11 goals in 12 Manchester United games so far, which is a brilliant return, particularly for a player who is only going to improve in the coming years.

I wasn’t expecting anywhere close to the level of production that we’ve got out of the star Belgian, but he’s certainly proving me wrong at this point in time. What’s most impressive to me is his all-round play, as I was sceptical of that at first. His touch is superb, as his ability to hold the ball up to bring other teammates into the action.

Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford is also in the top ten list of players who’s value has shot up. He was worth €71.8m (£62m), now his value has shot up to €98m (£86).
