Man Utd all-but seal spot in Champions League

Manchester United’s first season under Louis van Gaal is drawing to a close, with the Iron Tulip all-but guiding his new players to a spot in the top four and Champions League football back at Old Trafford next season.

The Dutchman has done what he set out to achieve, and bar a miracle, we should be seeing Europe’s elite take on our new-look Manchester United side under the floodlights.

Liverpool now need a fourteen goal swing, and Manchester United to lose both of their remaining games if they are to qualify for Europe’s premier competition, but we’re all fairly certain that isn’t going to happen.

After a season-long absence, and a painful year of watching the English clubs struggle across the continent, its nice to know we’ll be involved once again next term, and Louis van Gaal is certainly the man to take us forward.
