Manchester United could be entering the market for a new striker who can guarantee them goals next term, and one man they’ve reportedly been looking at is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. However the striker is hesitant to join Manchester United – because of Louis van Gaal.
The news comes from the Daily Mail, who say the striker from Gabon is worried about Louis van Gaal’s style of play. You can hardly blame him either, as under our Dutchman he’d be limited to probably just one or two chances a game, whereas out in Dortmund he gets opportunities aplenty.
With the club also without Champions League football next term, that poses another stumbling block when it comes to attracting the top names.
If, somehow, Manchester United can land Aubameyang this summer then they’d be getting a real gem of a player. At 26, he is approaching the peak of his powers, and he has plenty of pace and a brilliant eye for goal. He’d cost a pretty penny though, and the German side would be reluctant to part with one of their prized assets.
