Manchester United have been boosted, with the return to fitness of Robin van Persie ahead of United’s visit to Swansea today. The return of the Dutchman has presented Van Gaal with somewhat of a selection dilemma though, but you find it hard to see how Falcao will start purely down to his poor form.
Van Persie hasn’t been playing well at all this season, except for in small doses like the away trip at Southampton. However, Louis van Gaal seems to favour his compatriot – whether thats for professional or personal reasons remains to be seen.
You cannot deny that Van Persie is one of the best strikers on his day, its just a shame his day hasn’t happened often enough this season. Hopefully he’ll continue to play and return to form sooner rather than later.
