Manchester United will have to bring in at least one centre-back this summer, and it looks as though one of them they try to lure to the club will be the Valencia defender, Nicolas Otamendi.
The latest reports coming out of Spain indicate that the player himself has asked to leave Valencia, as he wants to make the switch to Old Trafford before the new campaign begins in August.
However signing the Argentinian could come at an expensive cosy, with Valencia holding out for somewhere around the €50million mark which is a huge transfer fee.
At the end of the day, United are a rich side and other clubs have learnt how to exploit that as soon as our interest in confirmed, but Louis van Gaal and Ed Woodward will have to work closely together and bring players in for the best possible price.
Would Otamendi be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
