Man Utd chief executive holds talks with star strikers agent

Manchester United’s summer transfer plans are well underway, and the club are expected to change the squad quite dramatically this summer. One area that could do with some work is up front, as we have an ageing Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao has now left the club.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United’s Vice-Chairman Edward Woodward met the agent of Karim Benzema and discussed a potential deal that could happen.

Benzema would be a superb acquisition for Manchester United Football Club. Although we have Wayne Rooney, he doesn’t score anywhere near enough goals we need from a striker in a side who hopes to challenge for the title, but if we signed the Real Madrid man we’d have an extremely improved chance at regaining the Premier League title.

The fee could be somewhat of a stumbling block however. The 27-year old could cost upwards of the £30million mark, but without doubt he’d prove his worth almost instantly.

Would Benzema be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
