Manchester United’s centre-backs have looked bereft of confidence of late, and Louis van Gaal will be looking to bolster his options at the back with a swoop for Aleksandar Dragovic. According to The Metro, a £15million move for the Austrian is thought to be close.
The 23-year old is also thought to have been a target for Arsenal, but after their move for Paulista was completed today it looks like United are in pole position to get the Dynamo Kyiv man.
With the transfer deadline day looming, the Old Trafford board will have to act quick and get the move sealed to avoid a last minute panic similar to that of Radamel Falcao’s loan move in the summer.
Dragovic is a player who’s stock is certainly rising, but I’d much prefer his ex-Basel teammate Fabian Schar to come to the club instead.
