Manchester United’s transfer window has hit a bit of a lull at this moment in time, with the club seemingly working on plenty of deals behind the scenes. One of those that has come to the forefront at the moment is Matteo Darmian, the Italian right-back who plays for Torino.
Darmian, 25, is nearing a move to Old Trafford according to Sky Italy, who say United are willing to pay Torino the €20million asking price.
Manchester Unted desperately need a new right-back. Louis van Gaal clearly isn’t keen on Rafael da Silva, who looks to be on the move this summer, and Antonio Valencia who has been very hit and miss in that position.
Matteo Darmian is a full Italy international who has been impressing in his few years with Torino, and it’d certainly be an astute piece of business from Louis van Gaal.
