Manchester United’s star-studded front line have been struggling in terms of goal recently, with Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao failing to cement a permanent spot in the starting line-up. That could about to change in the summer, with United are considering a move for Burnley’s Danny Ings.
The English striker has been in superb form for the Clarets of late and there is no doubt that he is their best chance of Premier League survival. The 22-year old’s latest goal was a superb header at Old Trafford in the match between United and Burnley on Wednesday, and he must’ve caught Louis van Gaal’s eye.
Ings is out of contract this coming summer, and many teams including United would certainly take the risk on the youngster. With no transfer fee over his head, and a proven goalscoring record in the league, he’ll certainly be worth the gamble.
United have lacked any real pace up front and Ings would certainly provide that as well as a killer instinct in front of goal. For me this would be an astute bit of business by Louis van Gaal, and he could certainly come in and do a stellar job for the club.
