Manchester United are expecting to splurge another £100million plus in the summer, with Louis van Gaal hoping that he has Champions League football on offer for his second season in charge. Midfielders are thought to be a top priority, and this Bayern Munich star would certainly help matters.
Bastian Schweinsteiger, 30, is out of contract at his beloved Bayern Munich in the summer, and he could be targeted by both Manchester United and Chelsea, according to reports from abroad.
The midfielder was at the heart of a German World Cup victory in the summer of 2014, and although he has found himself in and out of the Bayern team of late he’d still have something to offer Manchester United.
He’s the complete midfielder who is after a new challenge after winning it all at Bayern, and a move to the Premier League would certainly provide a new test for the ambitious Bayern man.
