Manchester United begin their pre-season tour in just two weeks time, as Louis van Gaal prepares to put his players through their paces ahead of a big season for the club, with European football returning to Old Trafford after a painful year-long absence.
One player who could miss the season opener after picking up an injury is Angel di Maria, who unfortunately did damage to his hamstring in the Copa America final last night.
It looked like a serious one, and usually you’d expect him to miss at least a month of action, but when you take into consideration Louis van Gaal’s strict fitness regimes, you’d imagine he’ll take another month to get back up to speed.
This would be a huge shame because the Argentinian has looked fantastic for his country recently, and if he finds himself out of the side for the season opener, it could be tough for him to break back into the starting XI.
