Manchester United were dealt a cruel injury blow ahead of the Chelsea clash, with four key players missing the clash – Michael Carrick, Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones all were unable for action, and United’s injury woes aren’t easing up whatsoever.
Louis van Gaal will now be without Adnan Januzaj and Rafael da Silva, who picked up ankle and rib injuries respectively.
The pair both featured in Manchester United U21s 1-1 draw with Leicester City last night – a game in which Robin van Persie also played in.
Both Rafael and Januzaj have found themselves on the fringes of things of late, with the Brazilian right-back struggled to get any minutes for the first-team. His time at United could well come to a close this summer, whereas Januzaj should remain patient and wait for his opportunity.
We all know how talented Januzaj is, and if Van Gaal doesn’t plan on using him next term, then maybe a loan move to another Premier League club would do him the world of good.
Should United loan Januzaj out this summer? Let us know!
